Rental Policy
Please read carefully
 

It is very important to read the following terms and conditions outlined below before securing this reservation. By moving onto the next page and entering in your credit card information, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below. You will also asked to be signed this document at check- in.

Please note the following cottages do not permit guests under the age of 18.

COTTAGE RENTALS

I. CHECKING IN

a. Check-in is at 3:00 pm. Early check-ins are not permitted.

b. Upon arriving at Seaglass Village, please go to the gate house and the attendant will greet you and give you directions to the Clubhouse to check in with a rental agent.

c. On check-in day a security deposit of $300.00 will be automatically authorized on the same credit card used for reservation. Rental cottages are inspected as soon as you check-out. When we are certain there has been no damage to the rental cottage or its contents, we then authorize the issuing bank to release the funds. This may take up to 10 days.

d. If when you get to your cottage and you see that something is broken or something is missing that you were promised, please bring it to the attention of your rental staff immediately to avoid extra charges upon check out.

II. CHECKING OUT

a. Check-out is at 10:00 am for all reservations falling between June 24 and August 25. Outside of those dates check-out time in 11am. A late check-out is subject to extra charges. No refunds for early departure.

b. Guest(s) are required to leave their rental space (inside and out) and the Seaglass Village property in the same condition it was in upon arrival.

c. Any broken or missing items will be charged to the renter's security deposit.

d. Guests should:

1. Load and start dishwasher with remainder of any dirty dishes.
2. Clean out and dispose of all food and beverages that you brought from refrigerator and cabinets.
3. Place all dirty towels and sheets on the bathroom floor.
4. Close and lock all windows and doors. Bag up all trash and place in dumpster on your way out.

e. Put your keys and gate passes in the black box on the building to the right as you are exiting the property. The price of lost keys is $10 and price of gate passes is $25. Any non-returned items will be charged to your security deposit.

III. Cancellation and Travel Insurance

a. Guests of four-season units who cancel their reservations at least ninety (90) days prior to check in, will receive all monies paid minus a $50.00 cancellation fee. If a reservation is made less than ninety days (90) prior to check in, all payments are non-refundable.

b. Guests of three-season cottages who cancel their reservations before April 1, 2017 will receive all monies paid minus a $50.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations of reservations in three season cottages after April 1, 2017 are non refundable.

c. Seaglass Village Rentals strongly encourages their guest to purchase Travel Insurance in the event of an unforeseen event that would have you cancel your reservation. IV. RENTAL POLICIES

a. Fines are applicable for all violations to the rules stated below. Charges for fines will be deducted from security deposit.

b. The speed limit on the property is 15 mph and it is strictly enforced.

c. NO SMOKING: a $500 penalty fee will be charged to your credit card if we find evidence of smoking inside the cottage.

d. NO PETS: a $500 penalty fee will be charged to your credit card if we find evidence of pets on the property.

e. Space for two cars is available at each three-Season cottage. Four-Season cottages offer parking for one vehicle only. Additional vehicles may be parked in front visitor lot. No parking or maneuvering room for boats, RVs, or similar vehicles.

f. There is not to be trash left outside of the cottage.

g. Personal items such as beach chairs, towels, coolers are not to be left outside the cottage.

h. There is no parking for motor vehicles at the Clubhouse with the exception of those vehicles marked as handicap vehicles. Golf cart parking is permitted.

i. Guest(s) will be responsible for paying any damages caused directly or indirectly by themselves or their guests during their stay. We will charge your credit card for any damaged or missing items.

j. Guest(s) are strictly prohibited from bringing illegal drugs, guns, fireworks, kegs, candles, incense, BBQ grills, electric grills, kerosene or propane heaters onto the premises. Failure to comply with this policy will result in immediate eviction and loss of the reservation payments as well as security deposit.

k. Guest(s) agrees to abide by all local, state and federal laws, regulations, and statutes including, but not limited to: no illegal drug use and no under-age drinking of alcoholic beverages. Failure to comply will result in immediate eviction and loss of the reservation payments as well as security deposit.

l. Seaglass Village Cottages and / or Seaglass Village Condo Association reserves the right to refuse service to any person determined unfit to remain on the premises.

m. Seaglass Village Cottages and / or Seaglass Village Condo Association will not be responsible for accidents or injury to Guest(s) or for loss of their money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind. Guest(s) agrees to use and occupy the leased property at Guest(s) own risk and hereby indemnifies Seaglass Village Cottages and / or Seaglass Village Condo Association from all claims from any injury or death of any person or for the loss of or damages to any property of the Guest(s) or other inhabitants of the rental cottage during the rental period specified above.

In case of emergency, please call the front desk at 207-216-9400. On the recording, will be information for an afterhours emergency number.

COTTAGE RENTALS: Moving forward with this reservation request and making a 50% deposit is considered to Seaglass Village Cottages as acceptance and understanding of the policies mentioned above. You will be asked to sign this document at check-in as well.

On the following page we will ask you to enter in your personal information that we will need in order to secure this reservation, so please make sure to fill in all appropriate fields. Please note that it is a not a guaranteed booking until a member of our rental team contacts you to verify that your reservation has been secured by a 50% down payment and sent you a rental confirmation. Any remaining balance will be charged to the credit card on file 30 days prior to day of check in. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and Discover. Please note that if your check-in date is 30 days away or less, you will be charged 100% of your reservation price upon booking.

GOLF CART RENTALS:

1. All reservations for golf carts must be paid in full at the time of booking.

2. There is a 14 day cancellation policy. All cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the first day of the reservation or all monies will be forfeited.

3. You will be asked to sign a Golf Cart Rental form that we will send you along with your reservation confirmation. The policies and information provided on that form are as follows:

a. Operators of the rental equipment may only be licensed drivers.

b. Rental equipment will be kept on the Seaglass Village property at all times.

c. Renter agrees to provide a $100.00 security deposit for the rental equipment and understands that they will pay for any and all damaged parts or lost keys, this includes total replacement cost if rental equipment is beyond repair.

d. Renter agrees to inspect the rental equipment before operating and bring to the attention of Seaglass Village Cottages any existing damage that is found.

e. The rental of equipment is voluntary and based on the Renter's understanding of the safety features associated with the equipment, their independent assessment of their abilities to operate the equipment, and their independent assessment of all risks associated with the operation of this equipment.

f. There are risks of personal injury, death, and property damage while operating said rental equipment. The risks are inherent in all golf cart operating situations. Renter releases, waives, and relinquishes all claims and legal actions for personal injury, wrongful death or property damage against Seaglass Village Cottages, Seaglass Village Condo Association, and employees of each that may occur as a result of the operation of the said equipment whether by negligence or otherwise.
