Upon arrival you will find that this unit was recently (Spring '08) upgraded with tile flooring, new window treatments, a new washer/dryer combo and new color cable TV's in each bedroom. The building is centrally located and within walking distance to the famous and recently renovated Carolina Beach Boardwalk. The Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce presents a fireworks show every Thursday night during the summer, while staying at Carolina Surf you have a FRONT ROW SEAT right from your balcony!!!

There is much to do at Carolina Beach. A fantastic new North Carolina Aquarium is at the south end of the island next to historic Fort Fisher. Daily programs include divers who swim with sharks and rays and a touching pond for the kids. Just north of our condo is the marina with daily departures on fishing charters, sunset cruises, dinner cruises, and boat rentals. A ten minute drive takes you to the city of Wilmington. The historic riverfront downtown has brick streets, waterfront restaurants, loads of antique shops, horse-drawn carriage rides, and fantastic restaurants.
Across the river is the battleship North Carolina with daily tours. Of course, there is plenty to do right at Carolina Beach with festivals throughout the year, a movie theater, amusement park, and water slide on the island, as well as fishing piers and the boardwalk. A short trip out your door will bring you to a variety of Carolina Beach's best restaurants.
