Just north of our condo is the marina with daily departures on fishing charters, sunset cruises, dinner cruises, and boat rentals. A fifteen minute drive takes you to the city of Wilmington. The historic riverfront downtown has brick streets, waterfront restaurants, loads of antique shops, horse-drawn carriage rides, and fantastic restaurants.
Across the river is the battleship North Carolina with daily tours. Of course, there is plenty to do right at Carolina Beach with festivals throughout the year, a movie theater, amusement park, and water slide on the island, as well as fishing piers and the boardwalk. A short walk out your door will bring you to a variety of Carolina Beach's best restaurants.
